Your privacy, in plain English

• Your email — only if you give it (for the new-paper / P1 tips list, a P1 report, or a Game Plan). We use it to send occasional updates, nothing else.
• Your account — only if you choose to sign in. Then your email and your saved P1 Game Plan are stored on our server (and, if you turn on cloud sync in the practice app, a backup of your family's progress), so you can pick up on another device. See Accounts & sign-in below.
• Files you choose to upload in the practice app (e.g. an assessment letter or a photo of work) — used once to read the scope or mark the answer, then returned to you. We don't keep the files.
• Learning data (your child's practice progress) — this stays on your device, in your browser. We can't see it unless you export and send it to us.
• Basic technical records — anonymous usage/cost counts so we can keep the AI affordable, and any problem report you choose to submit. If you tap "Report a problem", the report can include your child's answer text and a screenshot of the practice screen; reports are kept for 30–90 days (screenshots 30 days), then deleted.

You never need an account to browse, use the papers library, or read the P1 guidance. If you choose to sign in, here's exactly how it works:

• Passwordless. We email you a one-time sign-in link — there's no password to create, and we never store one. The link is the standard "magic link" model: short-lived, single-use, sent only to your inbox.
• What's stored on our server. Your email (your sign-in handle); the handful of answers from your P1 Game Plan; and — only if you switch on cloud sync in the practice app (Coach) — a backup of your family so you can pick up on another device: your children's first names, level, and practice progress/history — and the school name, if you added one. We do not upload photos of your child's work, and your parent PIN never leaves your device.
• Only you can see your data. Everything above is locked to your account at the database level (row-level security): no other signed-in user — and nobody who isn't signed in — can read or change it.
• Deleting it. Sign out anytime. To permanently delete your account and everything stored for it (your saved plan and any family backup) from our server, sign in and use Delete my account in your account's Danger zone — or email support@sgexamprep.org if you'd rather we do it for you.

We host accounts on Supabase and send sign-in emails via Resend, both acting on our behalf to run the service.

On a shared or school computer, use a private window and sign out afterwards — practice data and sign-in details stay in the browser.

The practice app uses an AI provider (Anthropic) to read an uploaded letter or mark an answer. Your upload is sent to them to do that task and is not used by us to train any model. Please don't upload anything more sensitive than you need to.

AI marking results are cached on our server so identical answers aren't re-marked; the cache holds marking feedback, not your child's name.

This site is meant for a parent to use, with or for their child. We don't ask children to create accounts or submit personal details, and a child's learning data stays on your device. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email us and we'll remove it.

No advertising. No selling or renting your data. No cross-site tracking. No account required to browse. The papers library and the P1 guidance are free to use without giving us anything.

Emails: until you unsubscribe (see /unsubscribe). Account & saved Game Plan: until you ask us to delete them (see Accounts & sign-in). Uploaded files: processed in the moment — we don't keep them. They're read by an AI service (Anthropic) and may be retained briefly under its API policy; they're never used to train models. On-device learning data: until you clear it on your device. Technical counts: kept only as long as useful for running costs.

You can ask us what we hold about you, correct it, or withdraw consent and have it deleted — just email support@sgexamprep.org. If something ever goes wrong with data security, we'll act quickly and notify affected people and the authorities where required.
